The Allroads at the shop. I got new tires but the bolts to adjust for the alignment are rusted into one solid piece. They are going to try to break them free and if that doesn;t work they will have to cut the control arms off.

Close your eyes and cover your ears when they tell your price

It won’t hurt a bit, adrenaline and shock will set in and all you have to do is walk towards the light

I got THIS kit from eBay, it worked out awesome! $200 now but I got mine a couple years ago for like $160 ish. Went on easy and it drove great!

RIP “all roads lead to opposaurus.” He was a good Opponaut, and was felled too soon by his Allroad.
Heh. Good luck.

Put your wallet on the counter before they tell you. Don’t want that in your pocket when it spontaneously combusts.

that’s odd, the control arms and links look pretty much the same

If the adjusters are seized, your control arm bushings are probably shot too. So you probably need new control arms anyway. Bright side?

Alignment shops are pretty lazy about getting them loose. Take a couple of weeks and soak them in liquid wrench twice a day

See this is what turns me off semi-old German car ownership. I see you going through all this pain and hardship and I think, for me, If I am going to go through all that maintenance hell I want it to be for a cool 60's car that looks different than other stuff on the road.
I’ve ridden in all-roads before. Nice car, but man, they’re a ton of work. Like keeping a horse.

So now I am worried about mine.
10 years old, with 78.000 km, change recommended at 120.000 km with no time limit, I think to myself I should change it anyway, 10 years is a long time for rubber
